   Tara became a Legend among Bloodhounds--having set records in the ring that will never be equaled.  In her show career, Tara defeated well over 1200 Bloodhounds in the Breed ring and is best known as the National Specialty BOS Queen, having won an incredible 6 National Specialty BOS to Best of Breed.  She won BOS at every ABC National Specialty she attended, remaining undefeated even as a veteran and winning the last 5 years in a row.  At 9 ? years young, she won Best in Specialty Show from the Veterans Class at the ABC Eastern Specialty, with an entry of over 100 Bloodhounds.  Even with very limited showing her last 5 years, Tara remained in the Top 20 Show Bloodhounds each year.  The accomplishments above are only the highlights of her amazing career—made more impressive by the fact that she was exclusively owner handled.
   Tara had beauty, type, incredible movement and attitude. She was always voicing her opinion in the ring and everyone knew when she was at a show—she was very vocal about letting everyone know when “the Queen” was present.  She was a remarkable show dog, the "Queen" of the ring and our household, and a loving family pet.
   Tara was the epitome of a Bloodhound bitch and will always be the standard for myself and many others.  She was that Once in a Lifetime Bloodhound.
